Create 3-D/Sculptural Object that visually represents you.
(not just a video game character or something like that...
though I did enjoy seeing such things in earlier projects!).
- Start by listing words that describe you. Try to come up with at least 10 words. Then do sketches that combine at least 3 of these words into one cohesive image. The words that you use can be represented symbolically. Keep in mind that this is 3-D and must be seen "in the round". There are so many ways that you can accomplish this project, and I'm excited to see with how you go about it!
- The materials need to be found objects/recycled, and must be TRANSFORMED! You cannot just stick a couple water bottles together with tape and tell me you like water! Feel free to paper mache, add fabric, decoupage, paint, use wire, incorporate found objects, or however you want to "finish" the work.
- Show me your style in how you create your sculpture. If you love text...think about how you can include text. If you love anime...figure out a way to show that in your work. If you're more of a realist....then by all means represent yourself using realistic imagery.
- Craftsmanship is extremely important. Sloppy should not be your personal style!
- You must make it at least a 12 inches tall.
